Statutory Compliance Specialist

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Statutory Compliance Specialist. You'll play a key role in ensuring our statutory reporting, audit, and tax compliance obligations are delivered accurately and on time. Working closely with finance teams, external auditors, tax advisors, and key business stakeholders, you'll help maintain the integrity of our financial reporting while identifying opportunities to simplify and improve processes.

What you’ll do as a Statutory Compliance Specialist:

- Prepare annual statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Ensure statutory accounts are fully reconciled to management accounts, accounting records, and ERP balances.
- Prepare financial statement disclosures, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and statutory reporting working papers.
- Coordinate year-end and periodic statutory reporting activities to meet local and Group reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and review statutory balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany, tax, provision, and equity accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
- Coordinate audit requests and facilitate timely resolution of queries with finance teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analyses for statutory audits.
- Support Company Secretarial activities, including annual returns, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance activities across assigned entities.

You are:

- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent).
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experienced in statutory accounting, financial reporting, and external audit management.
- Familiar with corporate tax, VAT, and wider tax compliance obligations.
- An excellent stakeholder manager, capable of building strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Proactive in your approach, taking ownership of issues and driving activities through to completion.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Solutions-focused, with the ability to identify risks, resolve challenges, and continually improve processes.
