Senior Technical Project Manager

Nacelle Manufacturing Test delivers fully integrated, turn-key Test solutions for internal and external Vestas factories ensuring the highest standard of Safety, Quality and operational excellence. The team define, maintain, and govern product configurations across manufacturing value chain. Nacelle Manufacturing Test bridge factories, R&D, Digital Solution and Construction ensuring that the entire value chain is considered when setting up strategies for testing.
The department consist of approximately 40 skilled Software, Automation and Hardware Engineers in Denmark and India.

Responsibilities

- Scope and manage complex technical projects supporting Manufacturing Test solutions, including projects with challenging stakeholders and complex setups

- Combine practical project execution with responsibility for portfolio overview, prioritization, and coordination across the Manufacturing Test project landscape

- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Software, and global factory stakeholders, with a clear customer mindset

- Support development and continuous improvement of project management processes, governance, and Technical Project Manager best practices

- Own selected strategic initiatives and contribute to strategic discussions as part of the Manufacturing Test management team

- Support industrialization and new product introduction activities while managing project risks, dependencies, resources, and stakeholder expectations

- Act as a senior role model for the PM community, promoting effective communication, structured execution, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

- Demonstrated senior-level experience managing complex technical or engineering projects in a project-oriented industrial environment

- Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline, combined with solid technical understanding

- Experience working across functions and the value chain, within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, renewable energy, material handling, or a comparable industrial environment

- Advanced project management capability; PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or comparable project management certification

- Experience with manufacturing testing, quality, verification, or industrialization is advantageous

- Understanding of Agile and Scrum is an advantage, particularly for collaboration with software project management

- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to create alignment across technical and business stakeholders

- Highly organized approach, with the ability to follow, refine, and improve project processes

- Solid business mindset and ability to balance operational project delivery with portfolio and strategic priorities

- Initiative-driven and results-oriented, with the skills to manage and advance complex topics

- Ability to persuade others, build trust, and act as a senior sparring partner without formal people-management responsibility

- Comfortable working across functions, cultures, and organizational levels in a global matrix organization and act like a Role-model with a clear focus on collaboration, accountability, and factories as customers
