Location: Indianapolis, IN
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

We are looking for a motivated student to join our Panel Shop team and gain hands-on experience building and assembling industrial electrical control panels.

This internship is designed for students interested in electrical systems or automation & controls engineering and provides valuable hands-on experience in a professional panel shop environment onsite in our Indianapolis office. You will work alongside experienced panel builders and engineers to learn the fundamentals of industrial control panel fabrication and assembly.

What You Will Learn
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Assist with laying out back panels, mounting components, and routing wiring
- Support the assembly and wiring of industrial electrical control panels
- Learn proper panel fabrication techniques and safe use of hand and power tools
- Work with engineers to understand drawing revisions, project updates, and technical questions
- Collaborate with our panel shop team to support production schedules and project goals
- Assist with inventory organization, material handling, and component tracking
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Gain exposure to industrial automation & electrical control systems
Qualifications
- Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Interest in automation & controls, manufacturing, or electrical systems
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working with tools and hands-on projects
- Previous panel building experience is not required
