Job Description:

Job Summary:
The primary duty will be to teach six courses (24 credits) per academic year in Philosophy, some of which will be in Philosophy of Healthcare. This role requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research and professional development. This role will support our Health Humanities minor, and our collaboration with the CHHS pre-professional programs through teaching and curriculum development. This role is also expected to perform service to the department, school and the profession, and to teach our general education courses. Finally, this role will support the department's public outreach.

Authority and Accountability:
This position reports to the Chair of the Philosophy Department.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD in Philosophy or adjacent fields
- Expertise in Philosophy of Healthcare
- ABD considered
- AOS: open, with preference for expertise in Philosophy of Healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

- AOC: Ethics, Critical Thinking, and Social and Political Philosophy
- Experience or interest in Public Philosophy
- Grounded in History of Philosophy, broadly
