Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Software Analyst  to support our customer at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in Tullahoma, TN. The Software Analyst shall provide advice and assistance services for software development initiatives in support of the AEDC located at Arnold AFB, Tennessee.

With a thorough understanding of execution objectives, the Software Analyst will advise and assist the customer by providing expertise to improve system performance, resolve issues to include troubleshooting, and justify improvements that provide enhanced supportability and capability.

This position will engage in enterprise projects to understand long term goals; review the current architectures and provide recommendations to meet these goals; will also prototype recommended solutions and assist in thorough documentation.

As a Software Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

- Actively research, benchmark, and document industry-standard software patterns, emerging IT trends.
- Identify bottlenecked software factory processes (e.g. code reviews, documentation, compliance checks) and design/suggestion possible solutions.

- Design, test, and maintain custom low code / no code (LCNC) systems for improving workflow processes.

- Architect and determine when to utilize structured relational schemas versus when to use fast NoSQL document stores.

- Prompt engineering and AI agent design/creation & API Integration.

- Qualified candidates shall have experience in software test methods and related tools. They shall also have or be able to develop an understanding of the procedures and processes specific to AEDC and USAF regulations.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in related discipline (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

- 0-3 years of related experience
- Must have the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, tools (including source control, automated builds, unit tests) and methods through training and experience.
- Must be able to interface and communicate well with the development team as well as Government counterparts.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance. Applicants for positions which require a US government security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.

Preferred Skills:

- DevSecOps experience.
