Carpenter Foreman

One of our trusted contractors is looking for experienced Carpentry Foremen and strong Journeymen Carpenters ready to take the next step into leadership.

If you’re already a Carpentry Foreman, we want to talk to you. If you’re a strong Journeyman Carpenter with Foreman potential, we’re also interested. The client is willing to provide approximately 90 days of training and development to help the right carpenter transition into a Foreman role.

Job Duties

- Lead and coordinate a 3–4 person carpentry crew
- Direct day-to-day work and keep projects moving
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Perform hands-on carpentry work alongside your crew
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Coordinate materials, tools, and daily manpower needs
- Communicate with project management and other trades
- Train and mentor less-experienced carpenters
- Help maintain a clean and organized job site
- Travel between project locations throughout the 495 belt

Requirements

- Proven carpentry experience
- Previous Foreman experience or strong Journeyman Carpenter with demonstrated leadership potential
- Ability to lead a small crew and work independently
- Strong understanding of commercial/residential construction practices
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel between Boston-area and Southern NH job sites
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Dependable, professional, and safety-minded
- Must be willing to work hands-on — this is a working Foreman position
