Senior Software Engineer, Workspace Search Quality

We build consistent, intuitive searching and finding tools and experiences across Workspace that enable users to quickly, reliably, and effectively find any content and information they need to collaborate, stay informed, and be successful at work. Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

- 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.

- 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.

- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

- 1 year of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience launching and scaling user-facing, large-scale, production quality systems.

- Experience with recommender systems.

- Experience with software development.

- Passion for machine learning technologies, and ML/NLP/Quality.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Work with teammates to identify opportunities to improve the Search quality by incorporating advanced ML technologies in Search projects.

- Build solutions to enable novel Search experiences (e.g. enabling natural language queries).

- Design, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for improving search quality.

- Solve complex problems related to interactions between different search components like query understanding, knowledge understanding along with ranking.

- Handle all technical aspects of development, including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration.
