As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Personal Care, you will own and drive P&L performance for Univar Solutions’ Dow Personal Care portfolio in North America, Dow silicones and Dow Personal Care organics. You will serve as the primary Univar Solutions owner of the Dow Personal Care relationship, translating supplier strategy into demand generation, pricing, and growth plans executed with the CARE/BPC sales and technical teams.

This role sits within the I+S North America Commercial Silicones team and works across the silicone horizontal, partnering with the Personal Care line of business and global regional counterparts to optimize profitability, protect and grow share, and strengthen a long-term strategic supplier partnership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

P&L Ownership & Business Planning

- Accountable for revenue, volume, and contribution margin of the Dow Personal Care portfolio across North American Personal Care customers, with secondary sales into adjacent segments.

- Participate in monthly AOP/budget and forecast reviews with Finance and Sales Leadership; recommend adjustments based on market conditions.

- Monitor pipeline health, churn, and key wins/losses; lead win-back and share-recovery actions with the sales team.

- Support annual and long-range planning, including joint growth ambitions and strategic workshops with the supplier.

Supplier Relationship Management (Dow)

- Own the overall health of the Dow Personal Care relationship, building connections “high, wide, and deep” and engaging business and sales leadership as appropriate.

- Plan and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): coordinate attendance, prepare pre-reads and decks, and drive follow-up on decisions and actions.

- Maintain and update the joint Mutual Action Plan (MAP) quarterly; align targets, focus products, and growth initiatives.

- Deliver regular supplier reporting (COGs, point-of-sale data, samples, targets and opportunities, key activity) and a periodic newsletter.

- Lead or participate in recurring connects with the supplier, including regional sales round tables, brands, and technical forums.

- Provide commercial and technical Voice of Customer (VOC), competitive intelligence, and feedback on new product launches.

- Manage supplier-related escalations, supply exceptions, and contract questions in partnership with Silicones leadership.

Pricing & Cost Management

- Own pricing strategy for the portfolio; adjust sell pricing based on market conditions and communicate guidance to sales.

- Request and manage competitive/support pricing from the supplier, including special up-front costs, and assess the impact on existing inventory.

- Set up and maintain target pricing tiers; execute price increases, decreases, and value-capture activities where the market allows.

- Review supplier promotions or special offers and bring them forward for discussion with Silicones and Personal Care leadership.

Demand Planning, Supply & Working Capital

- Own monthly supplier forecasting for key SKUs; partner with sales on customer-level demand forecasts to improve accuracy.

- Manage days-on-hand and inventory health, with focus on long lead-time and imported materials and high-volume critical items.

- Engage the supplier on supply constraints, turnarounds, and unplanned events; communicate impacts and allocation or sales-control decisions to the sales team.

- Coordinate new product and SAP code set-up and stocking-location decisions with Supply Chain and Purchasing.

Demand Generation & Commercial Enablement

- Understand the market and applications to drive true demand generation rather than simply pushing information to sales.

- Develop value propositions, product recommendations, and application-based pricing guidance for sales.

- Lead sales tools, product training, and new product launches in partnership with the supplier and the Univar Solutions technical team.

- Coordinate with Marketing on digital campaigns, supplier spotlights, share-shift and win-back programs, trade shows, and customer events.

- Support joint customer calls and strategic account initiatives with sales and technical teams.

Market, Regulatory & Cross-Functional Leadership

- Track market, competitive, and regulatory trends (e.g., cyclic silicone and microplastics legislation) and help position compliant alternatives for customers.

- Coordinate with global regional counterparts (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) on supply, pricing alignment, and best practices.

- Partner with and guide the assigned Product Specialist on day-to-day portfolio execution.

- Lead special projects such as market surveys and business cases requested by the supplier or leadership.

- Support safety, customer experience, and company policy compliance in all activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- Four-year degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 7+ years of product management, supplier management, or field sales experience in chemical distribution or specialty ingredients.

- Experience in Beauty & Personal Care ingredients strongly preferred; working knowledge of silicones and personal care applications a plus.

- Proven experience managing a strategic supplier relationship and leading business reviews with senior stakeholders.

- Demonstrated financial management skills, including P&L, pricing, forecasting, and working capital.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse and significant workload.

- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including executive-level communication.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Salesforce, and Tableau or similar tools preferred.

- Ability to travel for supplier meetings, customer visits, and industry events.

Preferred Competencies

- Strategic thinking and business acumen.

- Supplier relationship management and influence without authority.

- Customer-focused decision making.

- Personal Care market, application, and regulatory knowledge.

- Cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Technical, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

- Financial and commercial analysis.

- Adaptability in a changing supply, regulatory, and organizational environment.
