Operation & Maintenance Engineer – Renewable Energy

## Your mission
We are looking for an O&M Engineer to join Elawan Energy’s Corporate Operations & Maintenance team. This role will act as a technical O&M reference for an international portfolio of renewable energy assets, providing specialist support to local teams to ensure asset availability, reliability, safety and performance throughout their lifecycle.

The position combines technical asset management, performance analysis, operational support, contract and warranty management, insurance claims, and involvement in the acquisition and integration of new assets. The role works closely with O&M/Asset Management, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance, Insurance and external partners.

Occasional travel to the company’s sites will be required.

Main Responsibilities:

- Provide technical and operational support to an international portfolio of renewable energy assets, monitoring availability, production, reliability, operating costs and contractual compliance, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to maximise asset performance.
- Coordinate and optimise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies in collaboration with local teams and contractors, promoting process standardisation and O&M best practices across technologies and countries.
- Manage O&M contracts, LTSAs and specialised service agreements, contributing to the definition and negotiation of new contracts, as well as monitoring performance, SLA compliance and deviations under existing agreements.
- Lead the management of warranties, defects, technical claims and Root Cause Analyses (RCA), coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams to minimise the technical and financial impact on assets.
- Coordinate the technical management of insurance claims and major incidents, acting as the point of contact with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and external experts throughout the assessment, claims and recovery process.
- Participate in technical due diligence, acquisitions, refinancing and asset divestment processes, assessing operational risks, equipment condition, maintenance strategies and future investment requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and transition-to-operations phases, including design reviews, participation in FATs and SATs, commissioning activities and the definition of technical acceptance criteria.
- Manage and promote the effective use of corporate document and maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, CMMS or equivalent), ensuring data quality, traceability of technical information and accurate performance reporting.
- Prepare technical reports, performance analyses and improvement proposals to support strategic decision-making related to asset operations.
- Monitor and follow up on technical issues through to final resolution.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of O&M budgets.
- Prepare periodic technical reports for management and/or asset owners.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality teams to ensure compliance with corporate procedures.

## Your profile
Education:

- University degree in Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- A specialised Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Asset Management or Industrial Maintenance is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in roles related to O&M of renewable energy assets, asset engineering, technical Asset Management or renewable energy operations.
- Experience in commissioning, FAT/SAT, technical due diligence, contract management, warranty claims, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and supplier management is desirable.
- Experience in operational data analysis and monitoring tools.
Technical Knowledge:

- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar PV, energy storage and associated electrical systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance strategies, reliability, performance analysis, SCADA and CMMS systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel. Experience with programming, automation and AI tools is desirable.
- Ability to analyse operational data and interpret technical documentation.
Languages & Other Skills
- English B2–C1 level; additional languages are desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
