Responsibilities:

Strategic Category Ownership

- Take full accountability for the assigned portfolio across several ArcelorMittal operations in Spain.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives, operational requirements, and market evolution.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, service enhancement, sustainability improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor transportation market dynamics, pricing trends, regulatory developments, and capacity constraints to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.

Procurement & Supplier Management

- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, RFQs, tenders, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract award.
- Deliver measurable value through cost savings, value creation, service improvement, and process optimization.
- Build and maintain a high-performing supplier network capable of supporting business growth and operational continuity.
- Manage supplier performance through clear KPIs, business reviews, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate and implement complex transportation agreements that balance cost, service, flexibility, and risk.

Business Partnership & Operational Excellence

- Establish strong relationships with sites, logistics, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Translate operational requirements into effective procurement solutions and transportation strategies.
- Ensure transportation capacity is secured to support production plans and customer deliveries.
- Provide support during critical operational situations and transportation disruptions.
- Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvements.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

- Maintain deep knowledge of the Spanish road transportation market and emerging logistics solutions.
- Benchmark suppliers and industry practices to ensure competitiveness.
- Support the introduction of innovative transportation models, digital solutions, and sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to the broader European Land Logistics Purchasing community by sharing market insights and best practices.

Governance & Performance Management

- Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
- Track and report performance against procurement objectives and KPIs, including: Savings and value creation
- Contract coverage
- Spend under management
- Supplier performance
- Service levels
- Transportation volumes
- Capacity management

- Present results and strategic recommendations to management.

Who We Are Looking For

- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Logistics Purchasing, Transportation Management, or Supply Chain.
- Strong knowledge of the Spanish road freight transportation market.
- Proven track record of leading complex sourcing projects and negotiations.
- Experience managing strategic suppliers and service contracts.
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, steel, automotive, logistics, or heavy industry environments is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking and category management mindset.
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Commercial acumen with a results-oriented approach.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Ability to balance operational urgency with long-term strategic objectives.
