About this role
The HINATH:AFS-Head Coach, Boys Wrestling will direct all aspects of the boys wrestling team at Aurora Public Schools Adams‑Arapahoe 28J. This exempt position involves planning and delivering daily practice sessions, developing individualized skill plans, coordinating competition schedules, and fostering a culture that emphasizes both athletic excellence and strong academic performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid Colorado teaching or coaching certification.
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience at the high school level, preferably in wrestling.
- Demonstrated ability to improve athlete performance and academic outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of wrestling rules, techniques, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a budget and oversee equipment procurement.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive team environment.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Clear background check and eligibility to work in Colorado schools.
