The Craft

Ackerman-Estvold Construction Management is hiring a full-time Carpenter in Minot, ND to help deliver dependable Construction results you can point to at the end of the day. This mid-level Builder role supports commercial building work where accuracy, safety, and solid finishing work matter.

Key responsibilities include:
- Build, install, and repair structural components for active job sites
- Interpret drawings and layouts to execute work to spec
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials (wood, drywall, composites)
- Form and frame for concrete and building projects, including Steel Fram elements
- Install doors, windows, and fixtures; complete finishing work to quality standards

Required qualifications/skills:
- High School Diploma (vocational training/apprenticeship preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience
- Strong blueprint reading/layout ability, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and collaboratively

Your Workday

As a Carpenter on our onsite Construction crew, your day starts by reviewing the plan set and confirming todays layout with the supervisor. Youll set up tools, check measurements, and keep materials organized so work moves efficiently. Through the day youll shift between framing, fitting, and finishing work—making sure openings are true, lines are level, and installs look right the first time. When Steel Fram or concrete formwork is on the schedule, youll coordinate timing with other trades to keep the build on track. Youll wrap up by verifying details, cleaning the work area, and noting whats needed for the next push—especially during peak season when overtime may be required.
