Overview of this Position:

The Associate Project Manager assists with the management of external technology transfer and commercial manufacturing projects and ensure they are completed successfully and within established timelines. The Associate Project Manager is detail-oriented and possesses strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers. Assist with the creation of project schedules, risk management plans, assignment of responsibilities, tracking of action items and critical path activities, and management of day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.

This role focuses on pharmaceutical product development, technology transfer, manufacturing, and commercialization activities and is not an Information Technology (IT) project management position.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

- Training or education in project management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership working with teams.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be open to working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and have availability to flex schedule to host customers while onsite.
- Flexibility to support operations across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, based on business and customer needs. Approximately 50% of working time will be dedicated to supporting 2nd and/or 3rd shift operations.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Familiarity with project management techniques, timelines, tools, and software preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Project Management, Life Sciences, or another related discipline, plus a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, regulated laboratory, or related industry. Candidates with degrees in other fields or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

- Assist with the leading, planning, and implementation of customer projects.
- Host clients onsite and provide support during customer visits, manufacturing activities, and key project milestones.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support operations across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, based on business and customer needs. Approximately 50% of working time will be dedicated to supporting 2nd and/or 3rd shift operations.
- Act as a liaison between customers and team members. Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
- Assist with the planning and definition of the project scope, milestones, risks, goals, and deliverables through implementation of change controls, tech transfer plans, and templated project management tools.
- Assist with the management of the project budget and resource allocation.
- Attend and facilitate regular status meetings with project team followed up with meeting agendas and minutes to all stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation and participation of delivering well-organized presentations.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion; Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
- Provide support for shipping non-routine samples.
- Communicate effectively with customers to identify needs and facilitate potential solutions with the project management team.
