Role Summary
This is a bilingual (English & Spanish) position that over sees daily operation on the production floor during second shift, ensuring that efficiency, safety, and quality standards are upheld. The shift supervisor is responsible for
coordinating efforts with their team, driving performance, while maintaining adherence to established procedures and company policy.
Essential Fun ctions
- Lead and coordinate production floor employees throughout the shift , ensuring tasks are assigned clearly an d completed in a timely manner .
- Monitor team performance and efficiency, identifying and resolving issues as they arise to mitigate any disruption to operations.
- Interpret and appl y technical documents, established procedures, and company policies to guide daily operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage shift schedules and allocation of personnel to ensure appropriate coverage to meet production goals.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment by communicating expectations clearly and addressing personnel concerns in a timely and consistent manner , regardless of whether employees speak primarily English or Spanish .
- Train new hires, ensuring pro ficiency and compliance with all relevant procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report operational status, incidents, and performance targets to management and other relevant personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to this role .
- E xperience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a solid understanding of operational procedures and workflow management.
- Proven ability to lead, direct, and coordinate a team in a production setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to convey operational information clearly to team members and management.
- Professional working proficiency with Spanish or experience with Spanish relevant to a workplace/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualification s
- Prior experience in a formal supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, safety compliance frameworks, or continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
