Role Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator supports the execution of domestic and international transportation activities ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant movement of goods. This position collaborates closely with the Procurement, Trade Compliance, suppliers, freight forwarders, transportation providers, custom brokers, warehouse, and internal business partners to ensure shipments are delivered on time and in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Global Trade.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate shipment pickups, deliveries, and transportation schedules with logistic providers and suppliers.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with shipment tracking, issue resolution, and delivery confirmation.
- Support expedited shipments when business needs require urgent transportation solutions.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate international shipments.
- Ensure shipping information is complete and accurate before shipment release.
- Support customs clearance activities and documentation retention requirements.
- Learn and apply import/export compliance requirements under the guidance of the Trade Compliance Team
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve shipping issues and clarify requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate freight quotes and containerization options to support cost-effective logistics planning.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics databases.
- Support the preparation of logistics KPI reports and dashboards.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 0-2 years in international logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet; experience with Workday and OneSource Import/Export Module is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written); Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels.
