Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator Job Description
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the timely flow of materials required to maintain production schedules and fulfill customer commitments. This role involves monitoring purchase orders, managing supplier commitments, and identifying potential material delays to prevent impacts on production. The coordinator serves as a vital communication link between Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Receiving, Production, Quality, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding order status and delivery commitments.
- Obtain and communicate updated supplier delivery dates and shipment information.
- Maintain accurate material and purchase-order status within ERP/MRP systems.
- Identify overdue, late, or potentially late materials and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with researching material shortages, receiving discrepancies, incorrect quantities, and documentation issues.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Receiving, Production, and Quality to resolve routine material issues.
- Support identification and escalation of material shortages that could affect production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to material status.
- Perform other purchasing, inventory, expediting, and material-control duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience in supply chain, purchase order management, and material planning.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, specifically Deltek Costpoint.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through on tasks.
- Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory, production, and material-flow processes.
- Ability to track multiple purchase orders and material requirements simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with suppliers and internal departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic ERP/MRP system usage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing production requirements.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with high-volume transactional emailing and logging information.
- Experience managing up to 1000 open PO lines at a time.
- Ability to adapt to increased production demands and supplier interactions.
Work Environment
This role is based in an office setting and follows a 9-80 schedule: Monday through Friday one week and Monday through Thursday the next, totaling 44 hours one week and 36 hours the next. The workday consists of 9-hour days, with every other Friday off. There is no overtime for hours exceeding 40 in this schedule.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.08 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
