Adjunct Instructor - Sport in the Global Marketplace

Founded in 1930, Fisher College, a private not-for-profit institution located on the Back Bay section of Boston, offering over 30 different Bachelor and Graduate-level programs, both on campus and online. The core offerings at Fisher reflect liberal arts, but the majors and graduate programs reflect an expertise in practical fields like management, marketing, communication, accounting, fashion merchandising, criminal justice, biology, and information technology.

We are seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one undergraduate course in the Sport Management program that examines international dimensions and governance in the sport industry for the Spring 2026 semester. The course, Sport in the Global Marketplace, will be taught from January 12, 2027, through May 1, 2027. This course will be taught in-person, at the Boston Campus, during the daytime hours. Additional time is required for training, course prep, grading, and student communications.

Overview and Responsibilities

- Teach a course focused on Sport Management

- Design and deliver instructional activities that align with and support course outcomes

- Assess and evaluate student performance through class participation, assignments, papers, and exams.

- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation by specified deadlines.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Sport Management or related field. Doctoral degree preferred. (Ph.D. Preferred)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.

- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities.

- This position requires in-person teaching.

- Higher Education teaching is desired

- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
