About this role

Introduction

As the Senior Director of Corporate Relations, you will serve as a strategic architect and guardian of brand authenticity, partnering with the Executive Team to ensure absolute alignment between our internal organizational culture, employee experience, and external reputation across all operating markets. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team spanning Public Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate & Internal Communication and CSR.

The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key responsibilities

1. Corporate & Product Communications

- Drive end-to-end strategy for corporate and product PR, ensuring narrative coherence across all merchant- and client-facing touchpoints.

- Oversee storytelling and media campaigns supporting major commercial festivals, product or services launches (such as the Allegro AI Assistant), and market expansion efforts.

- Partner with Investor Relations on deal communications, corporate transactions, new ventures.

2. Public & Regulatory Affairs

- Proactively design and execute dynamic advocacy and public policy strategies at both national and EU levels to champion a fair, competitive, and sustainable e-commerce environment (including level playing field initiatives around cross-border trade and customs frameworks).

- Serve as a key strategic representative for the Group, rapidly building and nurturing high-level relationships with lawmakers, government officials, regulators, and industry coalitions to safeguard and advocate for the company's long-term commercial interests.

- Lead the development of data-driven policy positions and proactive regulatory submissions, actively contributing to public consultation processes and shaping key digital policy debates (e.g., DSA, AI Act, and digital trade governance).

- Anticipate legislative shifts and rapidly align cross-functional teams (including Regulatory Affairs) to mitigate regulatory risks and capitalize on emerging policy opportunities across all operating markets.

- Direct the development of concrete legislative amendments, policy proposals, and regulatory redlines with the help of the legal team to actively shape draft bills during public consultations and parliamentary proceedings.

3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

- Oversee impact programs focusing on digital competence, entrepreneurship education (via Allegro Academy), equitable leadership, and social campaigns with external platform partners.

- Provide strategic oversight for the Allegro Foundation and the Allegro Charytatywni tech platform.

- Drive social responsibility programs, research employee interests, and optimize participation to boost morale and foster purpose-driven alignment.

4. Internal Communications & Culture

- Act as the group's strategic conscience, ensuring complete coherence between internal company culture, employee policies, and external PR/CSR initiatives.

- Partner closely with HR, Legal, and Business Operations to bridge the "say-do gap," ensuring that external brand promises are genuinely mirrored in the internal employee experience.

- Translate overall business goals into actionable internal communication strategies that strengthen corporate culture and organizational alignment.

- Design and host key engagement platforms, including company-wide updates, town halls, and leadership messaging.

- Inspire the team to modernize, standardize, and scale internal channels (intranet, newsletters, digital signage) to improve efficiency, user experience, and message reach.

This is the right job for you if you have:

- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Government Relations / Advocacy within a publicly listed or reputable international company.

- Executive experience in managing regional communications, policy strategy, and market/product expansion across Central/Eastern Europe or broader EU markets.

- Demonstrated success in leading impactful public policy initiatives and actively shaping regulatory outcomes at the national or EU level.

- Proven track record of managing complex projects at the intersection of internal executives, commercial partners, and key institutional, regulatory, and policy stakeholders.

- Strong track record in organizational alignment, with proven ability to harmonize internal employee narratives and workplace culture with external public relations and ESG/CSR strategies.

- High level of executive courage to challenge internal inconsistencies and advocate for brand integrity at the Board/Executive level.
