Join our ESG Sustainability Assurance team, where you will work alongside sustainability specialists, financial auditors, risk assurance professionals and PwC network experts. Together, we help leading local and international companies build trust in their sustainability reporting by providing assurance over ESG information and reporting processes.

What your role will look like

As a Sustainability Assurance Junior Associate, you will contribute to assurance and reporting-related engagements in a fast-evolving regulatory environment. Your work will support the reliability, transparency and auditability of sustainability information reported by clients across a range of industries and jurisdictions.

- Contribute to readiness and gap assessment engagements, helping clients identify areas for enhancement in reporting processes, disclosure completeness and auditability.
- Support sustainability assurance engagements for international clients across a variety of business sectors.
- Participate in internal audit reviews covering ESG regulations, including CSRD, CBAM, EBA climate risks and transition plans.
- Review sustainability information, including KPIs, underlying data, qualitative disclosures, reporting processes and supporting documentation, against applicable frameworks such as CSRD, ESRS, ISSB (IFR S1 and S2) and EU Taxonomy.
- Assess reporting processes, controls, data flows and evidence supporting reported sustainability information.
- Document assurance procedures and evidence in accordance with International Auditing Standards and PwC's assurance methodology, and contribute to reports of findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing your knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, assurance methodologies and evolving sustainability regulations.

Your growth and opportunities

You will gain hands-on experience across sustainability assurance and reporting engagements for clients ranging from fast-growing companies to large international groups. Through exposure to different sectors, regulatory requirements and multidisciplinary teams, you will progressively strengthen your technical expertise in sustainability assurance and reporting. You will also build practical experience in data analytics and emerging technologies supporting assurance work.

The skills you bring

- Recently obtained, or soon to obtain, a Master's degree (or equivalent) in sustainability, audit, accounting, finance, engineering, environmental sciences, data analytics or a related field.
- Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant professional experience.
- Strong interest in sustainability assurance, sustainability reporting and ESG topics.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Interest in how data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools can support assurance work.
- English and either French or German at a professional working proficiency level
