Network Engineer

Que Technology Group is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting the networking environments of two unique operational customers. You will work alongside 2 Civilian Leads and 7 Contractor team members to configure, deploy, sustain, and troubleshoot mission-critical network infrastructure located at NBP 320 and remote customer locations.

This is a hands-on engineering role that combines lab-based configuration and testing, operational network support, system deployments, cybersecurity compliance, and troubleshooting. Your primary work location will be our contractor facility in Columbia, Maryland , with significant time also spent supporting activities at NBP 320 .

The ideal candidate has strong experience configuring and sustaining Cisco and Arista networking environments and is comfortable supporting firewalls, cryptographic equipment, and operational systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Configure, test, and prepare network systems in our contractor facility prior to deployment.

- Support the fielding and installation of new network equipment, both in person and remotely , at customer and third-party locations.

- Provide ongoing network engineering and sustainment support for operational environments, including firewall and cryptographic equipment .

- Configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and sustain Cisco and Arista network infrastructure.

- Monitor team communications, email, and JIRA tickets to identify and resolve operational issues and customer requirements.

- Work hands-on in the lab to develop, test, and validate configurations for new systems and upgrades.

- Support SSP compliance activities and ensure systems continue to meet applicable compliance requirements.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity, configuration, and performance issues across operational environments.

- Maintain system and network documentation as configurations and environments evolve.

- Participate in an on-call rotation for operational systems once fully trained and familiar with the environment.

- Travel occasionally, including to OCONUS locations , as operational requirements dictate.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in a technical field with at least eight (8) years of experience in roles of similar complexity.

- An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

- Significant Cisco and Arista Configuration and sustainment experience.

- Familiar with Latte Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.

- Required to travel as needed and be on-call for Operational systems.

- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to OCONUS locations as required.

- Ability to work regularly from the contractor facility in Columbia, MD and at NBP 320 .

Desired Qualifications

- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager) experience.

- Cisco ASA Firewall configuration, troubleshooting, or sustainment experience

- Experience automating repetitive network engineering and administrative tasks, such as:

Inventory and asset data collection

- Configuration management

- Compliance validation and reporting

- Routine network checks and maintenance activities

- Experience with cloud environments .

- Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) .

- Experience supporting containerized environments .

Security Clearance:

- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
