Your Role: Senior Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences Associate

As an Associate in Manufacturing, you will be part of the Technical Services & Manufacturing Sciences (TS/MS) team to deliver process and productivity improvements across a diverse biotechnology portfolio. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting lifecycle management initiatives, bioanalytical method optimization, and the transfer of these methods to global Quality Control laboratories.

Your Responsibilities:

- Develop and optimize ELISA- and qPCR-based assays for antigen quantification and support manufacturing site investigations to enhance process understanding.
- Design and execute experiments, perform root cause investigations for assay deviations, and document all findings in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis and technical observation, collaborating with scientists to prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across TS/MS, Quality Control, and global manufacturing sites to facilitate successful method validations and transfers.
- Ensure all laboratory work complies with development quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field; or a Master’s degree in the same fields.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of industry experience (for Bachelor's holders) in bioanalytical techniques, cell culture, microbiology, or virology.
- Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and cell culture; strong technical curiosity and proficiency in statistical analysis tools like JMP.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

- Expertise in cell- and egg-based assays for virus titration, including handling primary cells and cell banks.
- Proven experience with ELISA and qPCR method development and virus stock preparation.
- Proficiency in aseptic processing including multi-well plates, T-flasks, and roller bottles.
- Background in advanced statistical analysis and experimental data interpretation.
- Ability to adapt or modify existing scientific techniques for novel biotechnology applications.
