ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Finance Analyst is the finance business partner and accountant for our operations in the lower mainland and Sea to Sky in BC. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and preparing accurate weekly forecasts and monthly reports, forecasts, progress performance plan, budgets, capital and other financial information. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and accounting to improve understanding of key business drivers and maximize results within the product line. This role will also play a key role in supporting the Finance Director and Pacific Division reporting.

WHAT THEY’LL ACCOMPLISH

- Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and other financial adjustments.

- Lead monthly P&L analysis, providing clear commentary on financial results, variances, cost control, and business performance.

- Coordinate monthly and post-month-end financial reviews with Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and provide business context.

- Support forecasting, budgeting, inventory, SPC, tax, and other financial planning processes, including weekly forecast submissions with General Managers and the Controller.

- Partner with Operations to monitor actuals versus targets, identify variances, and support initiatives to improve financial and operational performance.

- Maintain strong financial controls, accounting documentation, and compliance with SOX and US GAAP requirements.

- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assets, inventory, and liabilities, while supporting high-cost approval processes and accurate cost forecasting.

- Coordinate internal and external audit requests and prepare compliance reporting for Tax, Country Finance, Sustainability & Environment, Risk, government bodies, and other stakeholders.

- Act as a business partner to the Finance Director, VP, and Operations leadership by providing internal reporting, ad-hoc financial analysis, and insights to support business decisions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Undergraduate Degree.
Field of Study Preferred: Finance, Accounting, or Business.
Required Work Experience: 5+ years of financial management experience with increasing responsibility and complex roles.
Required Training/Certifications: Eligible and/or enrolled in CPA PREP program.
Required Technical Skills: Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, BPC)
Travel Requirements: 0-5%

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
