Job Title: Buyer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Buyer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. The Buyer will utilize software systems, such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP), to analyze data and optimize ordering processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing material and production processes in a manufacturing environment, ensuring timely delivery of products within budget.
Responsibilities
- Procure materials, equipment, and services to support manufacturing, engineering, R&D, and service functions.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
- Expedite orders as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain and develop vendor relationships.
- Analyze data, Bill of Materials (BOM), and inventory levels using MRP systems to forecast demand and calculate required raw materials.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years' experience using MRP systems to analyze data and optimize ordering quantities.
- 2+ years' experience in Purchasing/Buying within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience sourcing suppliers and maintaining relationships with them.
- Experience implementing inventory optimization strategies.
- Experience negotiating prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Business or related discipline.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in high-tech manufacturing.
- Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Procurement experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a plus.
- APICS certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment with a team of about 10 people. The Buyer will report directly to the CEO and will be the sole procurement professional, requiring independent work and expertise. The dress code is business casual, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrington, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
