About this role

About Honeydew đŸ’Ș

Our mission is to ensure that no one in the world has to suffer from a treatable skin concern because of an access issue ever again.

Honeydew is building a platform for hundreds of millions of people globally to access expertise and science-backed skin treatments, including FDA-approved and custom-formulated prescriptions. We've helped 50,000+ patients get life-changing results, we're growing 4x YoY, and we're just getting started. We’re digitally native, scientifically rooted, integrated end-to-end (evaluation + treatments + lab tests), and fueled by a drive to empower every consumer with options that actually work.

The Opportunity 📈

We're looking for one person to build Honeydew a viral social presence. You can choose how.

This is not a "manage our channels” or "keep the grid consistent" kind of role. Instead, you’ll educate the world on skin treatment that actually works by building and launching content a million people can't scroll past. Then, you’ll help turn that attention into patients accessing life-changing care.

If you're the person who knows how to earn and hold attention online, this is a rare amount of creative control paired with a rare amount of upside on a team that’s well-resourced and ready to invest meaningfully in social.

What You’ll Do

- Take our socials to the next level. We've built a solid presence. Now we want it to be the thing people talk about. You set the strategy: which platforms we double down on (probably TikTok and IG, maybe YouTube, maybe something we're sleeping on), what we cut, and what Honeydew sounds like when it opens its mouth. Big swings encouraged.
- Make unignorable content. Short-form video, memes, threads, graphics, captions. You concept, write, shoot, produce, and post the best content in the space. Take what's happening in derm, skincare, and the internet at large and turn it into content people actually stop for.
- Live on the platforms. Catch trending sounds, formats, and conversations early and move fast enough to still be relevant when you post. We believe that speed and taste are of equal importance. You won’t jump on every trend, but you will pick the ones that matter.
- Drive the online conversation. Reply to people, DM back, hang out where our patients do (Reddit, Discord, etc.). Build a brand people root for. When something in the inbox is a real patient issue or a sensitive one, get it to the right people fast.
- Work with creators. Brief and run creators and UGC folks so their content performs, not just exists. Get our dermatologists, patients, and teammates (yes, including the founders) in front of the camera and make them good at it.
- Own the big moments. Launches, company news, events, the random cultural moment that happens to be about skin. You plan the social side and make it land in real time.
- Know your numbers. Reach, engagement, follower growth, and the thing we care about most: did it drive people to the site and into care. You read the data yourself and let it change what you make next. No monthly deck required, just honest takes on what worked and what didn't.
- Don't get us in trouble. We're a healthcare company, so there are real rules about how we talk about prescriptions and treatments. You keep the quality bar high and know where the lines are, and when you're not sure, you ask before you post.

What You’ll Bring

- 4+ years of experience owning organic social media and community management for a high-growth consumer (DTC/beauty/wellness/sports) or influencer brand
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience scaling organic channels, hitting real KPIs, and connecting social strategy to business outcomes.
- Native Platform & Tooling Fluency: Deep, current mastery of TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Discord, along with social management and editing tools (Sprout Social, Later, CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Creator & Content Production Chops: Hands-on experience briefing creators, directing UGC, editing short-form video, and writing sharp, native social copy.
- Bravery + Judgment: Courage to take big creative swings and make bold content, paired with the maturity and discipline to protect brand reputation and compliance.
- Data-Informed Mindset: Comfort analyzing performance metrics, running experiments, and communicating ROI to leadership.

Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Points

- Experience in regulated categories (healthcare, telehealth, fintech, cybersecurity).
- On-camera comfort or experience serving as a face of a brand.
- Experience launching and moderating active online communities (Discord, Reddit, forums).
- Strong connections with creators, influencers, or industry-specific online communities.

Location

NYC-based and preferred, but for the right person who can prove they can do this, we're flexible.

If this isn't you but someone just came to mind, send them our way.
