Delivery Driver Trainer Tally

Objective

To assist ZDMs in the development of delivery personnel to safely deliver and collect funds for product that have been pre-sold. To fill in on any route that is needed to be covered on any day as directed by the Delivery Manger or Zone Delivery Manager. Must have the ability to teach and train all new and existing delivery employees to perform the delivery driver job requirements to meet or exceed all team cone standards and expectations.

Responsibilities/Expectations

- Responsible for learning and assisting with all delivery routes.

- Ability to learn multiple routes, territories, and types of delivery methods. i.e. – carts, side loaders, combo, bulk and On-Premise.

- Assists the ZDMs with the training and development of delivery sales drivers in reaching top performance by providing feedback on driver performance. If training a new employee, completes Learning Path evaluation form as required.

- Promotes and Exemplifies Team Cone Core Values.

- Can coach and council drivers on opportunities to improve.

- Reports any disciplinary issues to the corresponding ZDM immediately.

- Can influence the hiring and firing of employees, including promotions and assignments.

- Completely understands and can teach Team Cone’s Delivery Retail Standards and expectations.

- When assigned to a route, performs all the duties associated with that route to Team Cone standard

- Must be proficient and can train employees in the following areas:

Collection of funds/end of day procedures.

- Stocking of shelves

- Display building and display standards

- Vehicle pre and post trip inspections

- Equipment maintenance

- Load variance reporting

- Code date interpretation

- Shelf space maintenance

- Ensure all products are delivered in good saleable condition.

- Must have effective communication skills and posses a good positive attitude.

- Reinforce all Cone policies and procedures including Camera and customer etiquette policy.

- Maintain and enforce appropriate dress (uniform) and personal appearance standards.

- Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of malt beverages.

- Attend operations (Delivery Driver) meetings and training sessions as required.

- Attend all company meetings as assigned including book club.

- Attend all personal development training classes when available.

- Ability to manage stressful / difficult situations in order to make good decisions.

- Have the ability to work with all other departments and personnel to accomplish specific tasks.

- Ability to take on other duties as assigned.

- Become certified in Coaching in the Trade.

- Complete trade documents upon completion of a training day with delivery driver.

- Complete delivery trainee learning paths on a weekly basis.

- Attend Day One/Day 2 onboarding to experience delivery trainee experience.

- Complete World Class Way Leadership Program

Qualifications

Position Requirements

- Must have good / safe driving skills. No distracted driving.

- Report any driving related issues to HR immediately.

- Practice safe lifting techniques.

- Follow safety rules and use safety equipment daily. (steel toed shoes)

- Must be flexible with unexpected changes in daily schedules and hours.

- Report to work by on time each morning to ensure that vehicle is off lot no later than 7:30am daily. Bulk arrive by 3:00 am, Cart 5:00 am Package and On-Premise by 7:00 am.

- Read Julian Date Codes and Pull Date Codes on products.

- Perform heavy and repetitive lifting with a typical weight of 25-30lbs and maximum weight of 160lbs.

- Muscular coordination required for moving product.

- Good math skills.

- Frequent reaching, standing, and walking

- Class A CDL & current DOT Physical Card.

- Able to pass drug and background check

- Must exhibit and reinforce the importance of Team Cone core values.

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED
