Electrical Engineer

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division . This role is a unique opportunity to support underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions in support of critical defense and national security missions.

You'll be an engineer supporting a multidisciplinary team developing and supporting customers with advanced maritime technologies, from production processes to prototype design .

What You’ll Do

·       Provide hands-on electrical engineering support for the production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems.

·       Troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware at the component, assembly, and system level to resolve production and field issues.

·       Perform technical investigations and root-cause analysis, developing practical engineering solutions that improve reliability, manufacturability, and system performance.

·       Develop and maintain electrical schematics, cable and wiring diagrams, bills of material, test procedures, specifications, and other technical documentation needed to support production.

·       Work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technicians, and suppliers to resolve electrical component, circuit card, cabling, connector, and assembly challenges.

·       Support component selection, configuration changes, obsolescence management, part substitutions, repairs, and technology refreshes throughout the product lifecycle.

·       Support electrical integration and test activities, including test equipment, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and disposition of nonconforming hardware.

·       Provide engineering support for fielded systems, helping ensure delivered products remain reliable, supportable, and mission ready.

What You Bring

Required Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Ocean), Physics, or Math
- 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems
- 5+ years of experience with leading integrated teams
- Exposure to DoD technical program execution
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance. Current secret clearance required.

Preferred Experience:

- Applicable experience in the industry may be possible in lieu of a degree
- Over 10 years leading design, development, and integration of complex subsea maritime systems
- Experience with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads
- Experience with manufacturing processes and procedure development
- Experience with underwater acoustics
- Proven track record in product manufacturing and transitioning designs to production
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes

Exposure to DoD program execution, including contract, financial, and subcontractor management.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
