About this role

The Platforms & Devices Commercial Organization (PDCO) is the commercial gateway of our platforms, devices, and services to partners and users.

As the Director of Android GTM for Japan, you will lead the commercial strategy and execution for the Android ecosystem in Japan. Sitting within PDCO, you will manage a senior team of strategic partnerships development manager responsible for critical GTM partnerships. Your primary objective is to develop an integrated strategy and lead relationships with the key partners in Japan.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

- 15 years of experience in technology sales or business development.

- 7 years of experience leading a global or regional sales organization, with responsibility for revenue targets and forecasting.

- Experience working with and building GTM plans with C-level executives at technology partners (e.g., carriers, OEMs, distributors).

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience consistently exceeding sales quotas as a senior leader in a complex, high-growth business.

- Exceptional strategic planning, partnership negotiation, and relationship management skills.

- Lead a high-performing Android GTM team in Japan.

- Drive an integrated strategy with the key partners in Japan to drive Android share and activations uplift.

- Negotiate with partners to influence GTM investments and resources.

- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders in partnerships, marketing, finance, controllership, and product to align country execution with global product and business goals.

- Manage partner HQ relationships, align on targets, and maintain the financial health of the category.
