Our wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions give our customers the freedom to live life on their own terms.   As an Automotive Body Shop Technician, you will be perform a wide range of highly skilled mechanical work including the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The duties will include diagnosing complex maintenance issues, conducting vehicle inspections, performing road tests, and operating specialized equipment commonly used in the automotive repair and mobility industry. This is hands-on, detail-driven work that directly impacts the independence and quality of life for our customers.

What You'll Do:
• Perform diagnostics and testing
• Install and connect various electrical wiring systems
• Conduct functional tests on electrical systems
• Identify and rectify any issues discovered
• Install electrical panels and miscellaneous components in accordance with engineering specifications
• Ensure work quality through thorough inspections
• Assess vehicle damage or malfunctions, providing repair recommendations, parts lists, and estimated repair times
• Accurately perform under car, under hood and/or preventive maintenance inspections
• Use hand and power tools.
• Maintain equipment, inspect for performance and/or safety concerns, and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors’ quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to read  schematics and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.
• Troubleshoot issues related to the work performed

What You'll Need:
• Coursework beyond a high school diploma preferred.
• Previous experience with automotive maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
