Machine Technician

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MUST meet minimum qualifications to be considered)

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be a current Lead Associate II (L2) or have the equivalent experience (i.e. efficient machine operation, performing preventative maintenance, applying LOTO, 3S and 5S in daily activities, deep understanding of product quality and documentation, experience in Kaizen and Practical Problem Solving). Must have successfully completed both portions of the Machine Technician Assessment. Must be able to read and interpret manuals and perform basic math with a calculator. Must be able to read, compute, interpret, construct and maintain charts, records, log books and graphs. Must demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools and measurement devices. Must have basic computer skills. Must have general knowledge of machine repair, safety procedures and DMMI policies and standards including the HR Policy and Procedures manual, TS16949 and ISO14000.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

No previous Tool & Die experience required. On the job training will be provided. Maintain injection molds and stamping dies by TPM standards, find abnormal die problems as well as finding the root cause of the problem, verify product quality, find die quality problems, identify and adjust to correct using root cause analysis. Lead TPM activities, track, plot and implement countermeasures and train associates on TPM methods. Repair minor flash and damage items.

MINIMUM POSTING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- More than 2 years in current position unless promotable
- Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better
- No Active Written Discipline
- Must be able to pass DENSO Job Specific Communication Assessment
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current qualified Lead Associate (L2) or equivalent experience in machine operation and maintenance.
- Successful completion of the Machine Technician Assessment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and perform basic math calculations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, measurement devices, and basic computer applications.
- Knowledge of LOTO, 3S/5S, TPM, Kaizen, and practical problem‑solving techniques.
- Understanding of product quality documentation and root‑cause analysis methods.
- Familiarity with DMMI policies, TS16949, and ISO14000 standards.
- Experience maintaining injection molds and stamping dies is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work night shift (3:00 PM‑11:30 PM).
