Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations that provide leadership with accurate and transparent visibility into program performance, readiness, operational effectiveness, and progress against established objectives.

- Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.

- Document and evaluate existing business and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, unnecessary work, and opportunities for improvement.

- Develop recommendations to streamline workflows and improve organizational performance.

- Support Navy strategic planning sessions, working groups, and leadership engagements by developing executive briefings, reports, presentations, and communication materials; coordinating action items, tracking progress, documenting results, and ensuring initiatives align with Navy strategic objectives and operational priorities.

- Identify and support targeted initiatives designed to improve Navy and DoD business operations, including efforts to streamline C5I system maintenance, reduce CASREP frequency and impact, improve equipment readiness, and increase Sailor self-sufficiency in contested or degraded operating environments.

- Evaluate and support the implementation of analytics and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Palantir Foundry, and similar technologies to improve access to performance data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

- Evaluate and recommend project management and collaboration platforms, including JIRA and similar tools, to improve project tracking, task management, workflow visibility, and collaboration across teams.

- Provide intensive analytical and project management support for complex "deep dive" assessments of operational and readiness challenges, including maintenance performance, fleet readiness, resource utilization, and other mission-critical areas.

- Coordinate activities, track actions, document results, and help institutionalize successful improvements.

- Facilitate collaboration among military personnel, government civilians, contractors, technical teams, and leadership to coordinate improvement initiatives, resolve issues, and maintain alignment across program activities.

Required Qualifications

- Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one. - Significant experience supporting DoD, Navy, or other federal programs.

- 7 years’ experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.

- Experience with program support, program analysis, operations, process improvement, or project management.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop actionable recommendations.

- Experience developing executive-level reports, briefings, dashboards, and performance metrics.

- Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Palantir Foundry, Power BI, or similar platforms.

- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.

- Ability to analyze complex operational problems and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience supporting Navy readiness, C5I, maintenance, fleet operations, or other mission-support functions is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean, process mapping, or performance management methodologies is a plus.

Desired Qualifications

- Advanced technical degree.

- Experience serving as a Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, or similar technical lead.

- Familiarity with Navy enterprise systems and lifecycle support.

- Experience with DoD engineering or acquisition processes.

- Relevant professional certifications.

Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package:

Salary at CaVU is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, education, training, certificates, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The expected salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $145,000 . To drive fair pay practices for employees, CaVU conducts regular comparisons across our employee groups and the industry. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, CaVU considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
