About the Role

The E3/E4 Senior Staff L10/L11 Systems Integration & Test Development Engineer (TE) is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test frameworks and system integration solutions that enable rapid platform validation, scalability, and deployment readiness across complex hardware and infrastructure environments. This role serves as a key technical leader in integrating hardware, firmware, software, networking, and management technologies to ensure end-to-end system functionality and performance.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in systems engineering, test automation, and platform integration with a strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure environments. Working cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, networking, software, quality, and operations teams, this engineer drives validation efficiency, accelerates development cycles, and improves overall product quality and deployment success.

What You Will Do

- Design and develop scalable automated test frameworks that support system integration, validation, and qualification activities.
- Lead end-to-end system integration efforts across hardware, firmware, software, networking, and platform management components.
- Create test strategies, validation methodologies, and automation solutions that improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Develop automated test cases for functional, performance, reliability, regression, interoperability, and system-level testing.
- Support bring-up, integration, and validation of next-generation server, storage, networking, and infrastructure platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify integration challenges, troubleshoot issues, and drive root cause resolution.
- Build tools and automation capabilities that accelerate development cycles and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Analyze system logs, telemetry, diagnostics, and test data to evaluate platform stability and readiness.
- Define validation metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that provide clear visibility into system health and product readiness.
- Validate platform scalability, resiliency, and operational performance in lab and pre-production environments.
- Drive continuous improvements in test infrastructure, automation platforms, and validation processes.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and release readiness assessments to ensure integration and testing requirements are achieved.
- Mentor engineers and contribute technical leadership across system integration and validation initiatives.

What You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in systems integration, test engineering, validation engineering, or platform development.
- Strong experience integrating complex hardware, firmware, software, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
- Expertise in developing automated test frameworks and tools using Python, Shell scripting, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Deep understanding of system validation methodologies, integration testing, performance testing, and release qualification processes.
- Experience with server platforms, storage systems, networking technologies, and hyperscale or cloud infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, system architecture, virtualization technologies, and distributed computing environments.
- Experience troubleshooting complex system-level issues and performing root cause analysis across multiple technology domains.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation platforms, test management systems, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to validation and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across global engineering organizations.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable automation solutions that improve validation efficiency, product quality, and deployment readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex technical initiatives and influence engineering decisions across cross-functional teams.

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $116,250 - $155,000. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
