About the role:
As a Principal Project Procurement Manager you will have a strong Supply Chain (Strategy, RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Negotiation, and Contract Management) background with experience in purchasing of services and equipment for major projects. You will be a direct interface to our internal customers: Business Unit, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments, and Project Managers. You will have strong commercial relationship skills towards suppliers with the goal to provide clear, and innovative solutions to the organization's requests.
You will report to the Regional Manager, Project Procurement Engineered Solutions Americas and work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with project objectives, budget, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Lead all procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring readiness, execution success, risk mitigation, and achievement of cost savings targets.
- Be the primary commercial liaison between project teams, partners, and suppliers, managing all external supplier communications and relationships.
- Manage the full RFx process, including supplier identification, NDA preparation, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms, and conditions to secure optimal commercial outcomes while meeting project and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor procurement performance through regular reporting on project status, budget versus actual costs, execution progress, supplier performance, and risks.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, approved supplier processes, and contractual obligations while managing escalations and claims.
- Collaborate with teams to evaluate supplier capabilities, market conditions, capacity constraints, and sourcing opportunities that support long-term goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with supply chain and project management expertise.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, and contract management within complex project environments.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional projects in a global, matrixed organizations.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management, supplier strategies, and long-term stakeholder engagement.
- Experience of procurement processes, technical purchasing, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.
- Experience with ERP and sourcing platforms such as SAP, Ariba, e-Auction tools, Microsoft Project, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of the nuclear or other highly regulated industries, with the ability to represent the organization with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
