This role focuses on defining, architecting, designing, implementing, and integrating mixed-signal and analog circuits for high-reliability electronic systems. The Electrical Engineer will develop low-noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies for imaging sensors that support advanced space-based missions, including missile warning, tracking, and defense, secure global communications, positioning, navigation and timing, and tactical data transport and targeting support.
Responsibilities
- Define and architect mixed-signal and analog circuit solutions for high-reliability electronic systems used in advanced imaging payloads.
- Design, implement, and integrate low-noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies for imaging sensors to meet stringent performance and reliability requirements.
- Perform schematic capture and circuit analysis to ensure robust, high-performance designs suitable for demanding space-related applications.
- Support or lead the architecture of imaging payloads that enable missile warning, tracking, and defense sensor capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that analog and mixed-signal designs integrate seamlessly with broader system architectures.
- Debug and troubleshoot mixed-signal and analog circuits, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development of high-speed products and designs, ensuring signal integrity and low noise in complex environments.
- Apply best practices for designing electronics intended for high-reliability and space-related hardware applications.
- Document designs, analyses, and test results clearly and thoroughly to support verification, validation, and long-term maintenance.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 10+ years of experience in analog circuit design.
- Proficiency with Altium, Cadence Allegro, or similar electronic design automation tools for schematic capture and PCB design.
- Strong experience in mixed-signal and analog circuit design, including low-noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies.
- Ability to perform detailed circuit analysis and debugging of complex analog and mixed-signal systems.
- Experience working with high-reliability electronics, particularly in demanding or mission-critical applications.
- Eligibility to work on programs that require United States citizenship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed product development is preferred.
- Background in space flight hardware design and development is preferred.
- Familiarity with designing low-noise and high-speed circuits for imaging sensors and related payloads.
- Experience supporting or leading the architecture of imaging payloads for advanced sensing applications.
Work Environment
The role supports and often leads the architecture of imaging payloads that contribute directly to space-based missions focused on missile warning, tracking, and defense sensors. Work centers on high-reliability electronics for constellations of small satellites that provide secure global communications, positioning, navigation and timing, and tactical data transport and targeting support. The environment involves collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and the use of professional electronic design tools such as Altium and Cadence Allegro. The position emphasizes precision, reliability, and performance in a mission-driven setting aligned with advanced space and defense programs.

This is a Contract position based out of Cypress, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $95.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
