Job Description:

Job Summary

The Palletizer is responsible for safely stacking, arranging, banding, wrapping, labeling, and preparing aluminum products for storage and shipment. This position ensures finished products meet quality standards, production requirements, and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Palletizer works closely with production, shipping, quality, and warehouse personnel to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Stack, sort, and palletize finished aluminum products according to specifications and work instructions.
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or non-conformance before packaging and shipment.
- Apply protective packaging materials, banding, stretch wrap, labels, and identification tags as required.
- Operate palletizing equipment, conveyors, stretch wrappers, and other packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Monitor packaging lines and ensure products are properly aligned and secured.
- Verify product counts, dimensions, and packaging requirements.
- Remove damaged or non-conforming material and notify supervisors of quality concerns.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Assist with material handling activities, including moving products using forklifts or other equipment when authorized and trained.
- Complete production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately.
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and productivity goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience in aluminum manufacturing or metals production is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand production orders, labels, and work instructions.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
- Ability to identify product defects and quality issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

May involve exposure to noise, moderate temperatures, and handling of materials.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Able to perform in a high-pressure fast paced environment.
