The Work
As a Level 4 Staff Software Engineer, you’ll lead complex software efforts, influence technical direction, and help turn ambitious ideas into real capabilities. You’ll have the opportunity to:
* Lead software development from requirements and design through integration and test.
* Design and develop solutions for complex mission-critical systems.
* Resolve challenging issues involving architecture, interfaces, performance, and integration.
* Influence technical approaches, architecture, and future product capabilities.
* Collaborate across software, systems, hardware, test, and program teams.
* Mentor engineers and share technical expertise.
* Contribute to technology development and future programs.
* Own complex technical problems and help drive them to completion.

Basic Qualifications
* Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
* Embedded development experience
* Background with software architecture and design
* Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level.
* Experience developing embedded software solutions in C or C++ within an RTOS
Desired Skills
* Integrating new software on new hardware
* Ability to multi-task, track/report earned value, and understand/support Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) baselining
* Understanding of open architectures & modular design
* Agile software development experience (e.g. Scrum)
* Background using process tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, git)
* Experience with Device driver development*
* Experience with LynxOS RTOS
* Experience with Test Driven Development, unit testing, and automated test
* DevSecOps experience and/or knowledge
* Active Secret Clearance
* DO-178C Safety Critical Experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

* Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
* For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
