Manager - IT

As a Manager - IT, ITAM, you are responsible for leading the implementation, administration and ongoing management of WESCO’s enterprise IT asset management programme and Flexera One platform. Ensures reliable platform operation, accurate asset and licensing data, effective governance and stakeholder alignment to provide enterprise asset visibility, optimise cost, support audit readiness and reduce compliance, security and operational risk.

Owns the operational health of Flexera One and the integrity of asset, contract, entitlement and consumption data. Coordinates internal teams, application owners, the Vendor Management Office (VMO), service providers and other stakeholders to maintain integrations, reconcile licences, improve processes and deliver decision-ready reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Leads delivery of the enterprise IT asset management programme, including platform deployment, roadmap, process adoption and ongoing management.

- Maintains the operational health of Flexera One by monitoring platform performance, reviewing data imports and resolving failures.

- Manages inventory beacons and agents, including deployment, configuration, version currency and coverage verification across server and endpoint environments.

- Maintains connector and integration health to support reliable and complete transfer of asset, contract and entitlement data.

- Leads software reconciliation activities by loading, validating and maintaining licence entitlements and contract data from ServiceNow and procurement records, and validating consumption with application owners and the VMO.

- Produces and maintains effective licence positions and partners with the VMO to implement software optimisation, harvesting rules and related reporting.

- Provides evidence and analysis in support of software publisher audits, compliance reviews and risk remediation activities.

- Supports ITAM governance through the development and application of policies, standards, controls, success criteria and operating cadences, including steering committees, working groups and executive reporting.

- Produces regular operational and executive-level reporting on asset coverage, data quality, compliance position, realised savings and business value.

- Leads data and process improvement initiatives to strengthen audit readiness, lifecycle controls and the maturity of ITAM platform capabilities, governance and operating models.

- Collaborates with IT, Finance, Procurement, Security, Legal, the VMO and other internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and support cost optimisation, compliance and risk reduction.

- Bachelors degree required in i nformation technology, IT asset management or a related field

- 5 years required, 7 years preferred of IT asset management, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience administering Flexera One or Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite.

- Working knowledge of inventory beacons, agents, connectors and data imports, including diagnosing and resolving failed imports.

- Practical software licensing knowledge for major enterprise resource planning platforms.

- Experience with ServiceNow, particularly the CMDB, and the integration of asset, contract and entitlement data.

- Experience defining programme requirements and success criteria for tooling, data quality, reconciliation and reporting delivered by technical teams or managed service providers.

- Experience supporting audit readiness, compliance activities and risk remediation within IT or software asset management environments

- Proficiency with the Flexera platform.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

- Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex data into executive-level insights and measurable business value.

- Strong process improvement, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.

- Demonstrated ability to operate in a large, complex enterprise environment and coordinate work across global teams and functions.
