Department: Operations | Final Pack
Shift: Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (2-2-3 Schedule)
Pay Rate: $23.57 per hour

We're looking for an experienced Machine Operator and team leader to support our Final Pack production operations. In this role, you'll lead line performance, troubleshoot equipment, support team members, and help ensure we deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on time.

What You'll Do

- Lead day-to-day operations of a Final Pack packaging line while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Perform machine setup, adjustments, changeovers, and scale operations.
- Troubleshoot machine faults and escalate concerns when additional support is needed.
- Ensure materials are available and production runs smoothly to meet output goals.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to reduce downtime and improve performance.
- Complete quality checks, production documentation, scrap reporting, and hourly tracking reports.
- Execute Autonomous Maintenance, 5S activities, and operational audits.
- Support and communicate effectively with team members while promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain regular attendance and support overtime as needed to meet business demands.

In Final Pack, we work together to support Planning, Shipping, and Warehouse operations by delivering products safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

As a Line Leader, you'll play a critical role in keeping production lines running efficiently by leading line activities, supporting team members, conducting quality inspections, managing changeovers, and proactively identifying and escalating safety, quality, and operational concerns.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator or Line Leader in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading teams of 10 or more employees.
- Experience operating high-speed production equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
- Experience using manufacturing computer systems and machine interfaces.
- Experience performing minor mechanical repairs and equipment adjustments.
- Experience conducting preventative maintenance activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds for up to 50% of the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods, including 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical education in Mechanics or a related field.
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with cardboard-processing equipment.
- Experience operating Syntegon box formers, closers, or case packer machinery.
