Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Store Development Project Manager

Location: La Crosse, WI | Onsite at Kwik Trip Support Center

About the Role

Kwik Trip is seeking a Store Development Project Manager to support the planning, permitting, and development of new retail store locations. Working closely with our Store Engineering and Real Estate teams, you will help guide projects through municipal approvals, coordinate design activities, and ensure critical development milestones are met.

What You'll Do

- Coordinate permitting, design, zoning, and approval processes for new store development projects.
- Research municipal planning requirements and zoning regulations.
- Obtain and organize information necessary to support store design, bidding, and construction activities.
- Review site plans, surveys, and development documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and municipalities throughout the development process.
- Track project schedules and monitor progress toward key milestones.
- Assist with multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and priorities.
- Represent Kwik Trip at project meetings, municipal hearings, and development-related discussions.
- Communicate project status updates and permitting progress to internal stakeholders.
- Support the successful execution of new retail construction and real estate development projects.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
- Knowledge of site design, stormwater management, and commercial construction practices.
- Ability to research zoning regulations and municipal planning processes.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, surveys, and development drawings.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Even Better If You Have

- Experience in retail, commercial, or real estate development projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with permitting and entitlement processes.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder relationship management skills.

Work Schedule

- Approximately 45 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday schedule.
- Occasional evening meetings and overnight travel.
- Flexible scheduling, including half days on Fridays.

Onsite Requirement

This is an onsite position based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the area or reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our campus.
