Role Overview
The Digital Technical Engineer delivers application maintenance and technical support for SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud and Snowflake, helping keep applications stable, secure, compliant and fit for business use.
Based in India, the role is positioned in Application Services / Application Maintenance Services India. The role enables reliable, secure and efficient delivery for SAP Datasphere data services.
Within the target operating model, Application Services keeps service accountability with Signify, places internal teams in the lead for maintenance execution, and uses vendors as co-sourced delivery support under internal direction, with follow-the-sun coverage.
A critical aspect of the role is executing incident, problem, change and service-request work, maintaining lifecycle health and improving support quality under clear internal ownership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Maintenance & Lifecycle
- Execute L2/L3 incident, problem, change and service-request activities for applications and data platforms in scope, meeting agreed service levels and restoring service with minimal business disruption.
- Applications in scope are SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, Snowflake, SAP BODS, Datavard Glue, etc.
- Maintain application stability and lifecycle health through upgrades, patches, certificates, monitoring, technical documentation and sustainable corrective actions.
2. Co-sourced Delivery & Improvement
- Work with the Service/Product Owner, functional team, architecture, security and external providers; internal teams lead execution and vendors support under Signify direction.
- Improve runbooks, knowledge, automation and standardization, and support transition to operations for new or changed solutions.
Your Profile
Experience & Expertise
- Strong technical expertise relevant to the mentioned applications, supported by application and/or infrastructure knowledge, problem-solving skills and service-management discipline.
Leadership & Capabilities
- Works independently, acts as a trusted specialist, shares knowledge and collaborates effectively across functions, geographies and suppliers.
Education & Certifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Preferred certifications (secondary research): Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst and relevant SAP Analytics or data-platform credentials.
Other Requirements
- Fluent in English and able to collaborate effectively across functions, geographies and suppliers. Able to work effectively in a global follow-the-sun service environment where required.
