Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Location
Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Completion of introductory coursework in cybersecurity or information security.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as networking, identity and access, vulnerabilities, encryption, and security controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research unfamiliar technical topics and communicate findings clearly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio or other Unified Modeling Language Applications (UML)
- Experience with conversational products
- Security+ or CyberSecurity Certification
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
Desired Qualifications
- ## Additional cybersecurity coursework, labs, personal projects, competitions, previous internships, research, or other hands-on experience.
- ## Familiarity with network, cloud, application, artificial intelligence, or identity security concepts.
- ## Exposure to architecture, system, or network diagrams.
- ## Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks or industry security guidance.
- ## Experience with Microsoft Office and diagramming tools.
- ## Curiosity about how complex systems work and how they can be designed more securely.
Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
- Work surface is stable (flat)
