Please note: This is a Temporary Fixed-Term Contract, up to one (1) year. This opportunity can be either a Hybrid position based in our Toronto Studio or Remote in Canada. Existing work authorization is required.

Your Mission

You will be rigging and skinning complex character, vehicle, and prop assets as well as building tooling to support the animation team and animation pipeline. You will help push the runtime quality of hair, dynamics and physics on skinned assets using in-game. Help oversee external rigging team, coordinate with production on timelines and manage feedback to retain the high quality bar.

- Oversee external dev for rigging, providing feedback and documentation to ensure quality is present.

- Rigging and skinning characters, weapons, and vehicles. Including dynamics and simulations.

- Improving and designing pipeline and workflow

- Building tools and processes that facilitate content authoring with an emphasis on user experience, quality and efficiency

- Dynamics and in-game physics setup, R&D, debugging and optimization

- Cloth/Hair simulation ability In Maya or Game Is a huge plus

Player Profile

- Degree or Certificate in Computer Science, Graphic Art or a related field

- 5+ years of experience in the games industry with 5+ years of experience on console game development
- Developing pipeline and workflow

- Solid knowledge of Maya

- Knowledge of at least one major commercial game engine (e.g. Unreal, Unity)

- Experience working with external developers
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

- The ability to collaborate effectively in a small, dynamic team

Bonus Points

- Developing pipeline and workflow Computer programming/scripting experience (e.g., C++, Python, PyQt)

- Experience working on a first-person shooter

- Experience shipping a highly competitive multiplayer game

The standard base pay range for this role is $97,606.00 - $128,974.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in Ontario, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
