JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, storage, and organization of finished beverage products within the distribution department. The position involves organizing, stacking, loading, and unloading finished products, ensure they are properly stored and readily available for operational needs.
Assist with the preparation of finished products for dispatch, maintains accurate product handling, and ensures that all items are handled in accordance with company quality, safety, and operational standards. This role also requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment, identifying and reporting damaged products. This position requires physical fitness, attention to detail, teamwork, reliability, and strict adherence to established health and safety procedures.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the distribution Manager and is responsible for carrying out assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with departmental objectives and company policies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Loading and offloading full products and collecting of empties in cargo containers
- Responsible for selling and stocking the correct product mix
- Assist customers with their empty and full products
- Responsible for delivering orders in a timely manner
- Answering questions that involve product availability and cost
- Responsible for keeping all counters, floors, and products clean
- Responsible for keeping uniform clean and presenting oneself in a well-groomed manner
- Comply to Health and Safety procedures and report unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Conduct behavior in a manner that is professional
- Perform any other related duties required by the job function
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic Health and Safety principles
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and evenings
