About this role

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of servers, and virtualization. This includes monthly upgrades for servers and monitoring of server performance. This role works closely with developers, technical coordinators, and technical support teams.

This is an onsite position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, Windows servers, while working collaboratively with QA, software development, and IT on a daily basis

- Hands-on experience designing and implementing end to end continuous Azure delivery pipeline utilization

- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new features or upgrades of IT infrastructure

- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures

- Research and resolve basic network, hardware and software application problems

- Future growth responsibilities to include Azure DevOps, development lifecycle while supporting deployment pipelines

- Additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent technology

- Experience with PowerShell, or other scripting languages required

- Experience with both on premise as well as cloud-based release processes including building automation APIs

- Knowledge of DevOps and development lifecycles is a plus

- Experience with MS SQL is preferred, but not required

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience required

- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a Systems Administrator

- Microsoft Windows System Administration and/or other IT certifications are a plus

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $61,053 – $98,334
