CICS Systems Programmer (Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor ) - Evernorth Health Services - Remote

We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor with deep IBM CICS expertise to serve as a technical leader, driving the design, engineering, and evolution of complex enterprise mainframe solutions. Responsibilities

- Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of complex CICS infrastructure solutions that support enterprise business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale mainframe initiatives, guiding projects from strategy through execution.
- Build, support, and continuously improve highly available CICS environments across the enterprise.
- Partner with application development teams and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches that improve performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose complex infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term solutions.
- Install, configure, maintain, and optimize CICS and associated system software products.
- Contribute expertise in: CICSPlex System Manager (CPSM)
- DB2 Data Sharing
- MQ Shared Queue Managers
- REXX
- z/OS

- Provide guidance and consultation to a large and diverse application development organization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for high-priority production events as needed.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of CICS Systems Programming experience in enterprise mainframe environments.
- Advanced knowledge of CICS architecture, internals, administration, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience supporting and managing CICSPlex environments.
- Hands-on experience with z/OS, DB2 Data Sharing, MQ Shared Queue Managers, and REXX.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues and implement effective solutions.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and coordinating efforts across multiple teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within large, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to support a 24x7 production environment, including scheduled on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master-level expertise with CICSPlex and related OEM products.
- Experience influencing infrastructure strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Prior experience serving as a technical consultant or advisor for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and business outcomes.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 123,500 - 205,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
