$15.00 - $22.22
(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

The Sr Diet Aide is a combination of Diet Aide and Cook responsibilities for the Dietary department. As needed this position is responsible for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, employees, and the outside community. As needed this position is responsible for cooking aspects which include the preparation, storage, and distribution of hot and cold food for the cafeteria, patient meal service, special functions and outside programs. This position will ensure high standards for sanitation in the production areas are maintained. The position is also responsible for a number of tasks in order to maintain quality service to all of our customers while maintaining the highest sanitary conditions in accordance with policies and procedures.

II.  Major Responsibilities:
1.    Follows all HACCP standards
2.    Follows all contract services policies and procedures
3.    Possesses excellent customer service skills
4.    Participates in the containment of department food costs
5.    Attends and participates in dietary department meetings
6.    Assists in keeping all Press Ganey scores within or greater than departmental targets / goals.

Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:

1.    Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
2.    Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
3.    Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
4.    Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
5.    Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
6.    Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
7.    Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

III.    Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required: 
1 . High School Degree or equivalent. 
2.  Must be able to read, write and comprehend English including being able to follow both written and verbal instructions. 
3. ServSafe certification obtained within 1 year of employment.

Experience/Skills:

Required:  2 years if culinary food service training. 
Preferred: 3 years institutional cooking experience, preferably in health care setting.
