Proposed start date: Beginning of November 2026

Full pay range: $28.85 - $33.65/hr.

Were seeking a motivated and creative Communications & Marketing Coordinator to help elevate ARCs presence across the Seattle community and to strengthen the visibility of our partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation (SPR).

Under the guidance of the Chief Advancement Officer, this role supports ARCs programs and operations through effective storytelling and outreach. You will develop digital and social media content, maintain ARCs website, support donor communication efforts, and promote ARCs many events and activities aimed at community engagement.

This position plays a vital role in expanding ARCs network of supporters and increasing public awareness of the impactful recreation and enrichment programs we provide throughout the city.

ARC partners with Seattle Parks and Recreation to deliver high‑quality recreation, enrichment, and lifelong learning programs for people of all ages. We are committed to creating inclusive, engaging, and safe programs that strengthen our community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing plans, strategies, and activities

- Develop strategies and tactics to increase awareness of ARC among program participants and donors

- Lead and oversee ARCs social media presence, ensuring consistent engagement and content flow

- Implement digital marketing and paid email campaigns that align with goals and budgets

- Manage ARCs website, collaborating with internal teams to maintain updated calendars, events, and information

- Work with colleagues to collect and share participant and volunteer photos, videos, and stories

- Co-develop and execute communication strategies for SPR and ARC partnership events, promotions, sponsorships, and organizational initiatives

- Assist with writing, creating, and distributing fundraising materials and donor communications

- Draft engaging content for newsletters, email blasts, letters, and website updates, and manage distribution processes

- Represent ARC at community events, meetings, and partner gatherings to build awareness and strengthen relationships

- Promote ARC as a trusted expert in childcare and youth recreation programming

- Ensure brand imagery and messaging align with ARC and SPR mission, vision, and values

- Measure and report performance of communications and campaigns and assess progress toward goals

- Support special projects and donor stewardship efforts

- Assist with general Advancement department operations and logistics

- Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

- 1–3 years of experience in social media management, marketing outreach, or content coordination

- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different platforms

- Experience writing external communications on behalf of an organization

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines

- Familiarity with WordPress or similar website systems and email marketing tools

- Ability to design graphics using Canva, Adobe products, or similar tools

- Experience filming and editing social media content

- Understanding of analytics and engagement metrics

- Non-profit or donor-focused communications experience, along with familiarity with WCAG/ADA accessibility standards is a plus.
