Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant - Delray Medical Center (Palm Beach, Florida)

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

- Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM position in a fast-paced environment
- Primary role is to be physician extender/substitute for minor procedures
- Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries
- Perform or assist procedures such as US paracentesis, thoracentesis, CT bx, and fluoro
- Perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients
- Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
- Educate patients on their medical care
- Other duties as assigned

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Radiology Partners Palm Beach is seeking an experienced, full-time, certified, Physician Assistant to join our expanding practice and service line at Delray Medical Center in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both hospital and clinic-based practice settings. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the health care community in general. We have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Licensed as a Physician Assistant
- ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technician) Certification preferred
- Graduate of an AMA accredited program
- Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants
- Two Years Physician Assistant experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
