Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Liquid Particle Count testing in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Training will be provided on the job for all ICP-MS support, operations, maintenance, and data interpretation. This role requires strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, adherence to meticulous cleanroom protocols, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and reliable results.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, ideal for individuals looking to build skills in a cleanroom laboratory setting and grow within a dynamic and innovative work environment.

**We have a position available on Swing Shift (M-F, 2pm-10:30pm). OT and Occasional Weekends required**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned:

- Prepares, and safely handles chemical solutions according to written specifications, conduct accurate extractions, and assist in the development of new engineering processes as requested.

- Organizes ICP-MS queue, and cleans, sterilizes, and dries ICP-MS labware to maintain a safe and functional lab environment. Performs inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and liquid particle count (LPC) testing on critical parts per established procedures and specifications.

- Ensures equipment, tools, and laboratory instruments are in safe and proper working conditions, and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are completed. Restocks and distributes cleanroom supplies, tracks labware inventory, and reports low stock to supervisor

- Follows strict clean room protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and good laboratory practices (GLPs) including proper gowning procedures and maintaining contamination-free practices.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation in FileMaker, JIRA, and other required databases for process tracking and safety logs,

- Communicates effectively with team members, production leadership, quality, and engineering teams to help monitor product flow or escalate issues to ensure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts, and.

- Supports local logistics tasks, including pickups with shipping departments, and participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by the Lab Supervisor.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two plus years related experience and or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field a plus but not required.

- A thorough understanding of production operations and structure, hazardous material handling, and storage regulations. Previous laboratory and/or cleanroom experience a plus. Previous ICP-MS and/or LPC experience not necessary but highly desired.

- Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment, and during non-production hours as necessary. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently once trained. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.

- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is a plus.Must be able to multitask and work under stress.

Work Environment:

- Must be able to function in a Cleanroom environment requiring the proper use of a cleanroom suit and PPE. Ability to perform tasks in cleanroom laboratory, and function well in an office environments as needed.

Physical Demands:

- Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, and perform light routine office work, including computer use, and spend extended periods in the cleanroom environment to complete testing and assist other team members.

- Must Pass Company required screening tests. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach with hands and arms, and perform light lifting duties (up to 35 pounds) without assistance, and push or pull heavy loads (up to 300 lbs) with assistance.
