Job Summary:

As a Director of Operations at Pentagon Technologies, you will provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Mesa sites operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive safety, operational excellence, profitability, and the overall success of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary leader, communicator, motivator, and mentor for plant employees and departments. Partner effectively with Corporate and Business Unit leadership and other Plant Managers to develop and execute strategic business initiatives.

- Lead and oversee all plant departments and teams, including Production, Process Assurance, Maintenance, Administration, Customer Service, Process Engineering, Laboratory, and Waste Management, in alignment with the facilitys financial and operational goals.

- Monitor and manage key business performance metrics, including profitability, quality, and operational performance. Adjust staffing, equipment, and processes as needed to respond to changing business conditions.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of plant operations and organizational structure to ensure customer issues and requests are promptly directed to the appropriate departments and resources.

- Drive overall product quality, process efficiency, and operational excellence within the plant. Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives and serve as the Management Quality Representative for ISO 9000 requirements within the Quality System.

- Promote a safe work environment by supporting safety training, proper use of PPE, and compliance with company safety policies and Code of Conduct.

- Maintain high standards for timeliness, quality, attendance, punctuality, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Ensure the plant and surrounding areas are organized, clean, and maintained to safety and operational standards.

- Maintain a strong understanding of Pentagon Technologies systems and databases, particularly as they relate to customer orders, pricing, quantities, and required accounting documentation. Demonstrate proficiency with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and other business applications.

- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure requirements, expectations, and business objectives are understood.

- Perform effectively under pressure and resolve conflicts professionally and respectfully. Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, internal stakeholders, and external customers.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Engage directly with customers and participate in site-level audits as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of degree with 10 years related experience in a leadership position of a similar or related industry. An equivalent combination of a high school diploma and 12-15 years relevant experience in managing service manufacturing of products in highly controlled copy exact environments.

- Experience in Semiconductor Industry highly preferred but not required.

- Hands on experience in Lean Manufacturing a plus.

- Quality tools training - ISO9001, 8D/RCCA Methodology etc. desirable.

- Proficient in MS Office suite and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

- Must be well-versed in gross margin calculations, profit and loss management and standards accounting practices.

- Ability to initiate and carry out instructions in written plans (Excel, PPT, Burndown) that relate to business demand and customer escalations.

Physical Demands:

Must pass company required physical/screening tests. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage.
