Role Description:

The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Mig Welder for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG, TIG, and robotic MIG welding operations in accordance with work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
- Set up, operate, and monitor welding equipment, including associated electrical, gas, and control systems.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet company and customer specifications.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, and supply shortages to the Value Stream Leader.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required ventilation and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support production schedules by completing work efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with welding repairs, rework, and corrective actions as needed.

Essential Functions:

- Weld and join steel components and assemblies using established welding processes.
- Perform repetitive production welding as well as repair and corrective welding on existing parts.
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and weld specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Verify dimensions and weld quality using measuring and inspection equipment.
- Consistently meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

Additional Duties:

- Understand the characteristics of various metals and their reactions to heat and welding processes.
- Safely operate hand tools and related fabrication equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on welding equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and technical documents.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform shop-related calculations.
- Ability to accurately use measuring and inspection equipment, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Knowledge of MIG welding processes and welding safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Formal training in MIG welding or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Welding certification or demonstrated welding proficiency is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Salary Description
